Muse

Artist:
Namsom Supanan
Date:
March 30, 2010 - May 9, 2010

Following the trail of her well-received first solo exhibition “Reverie” at Rose Garden Gallery, Namsom Supanan a young artist from Silpakorn University comes back with her latest solo exhibition “Muse” at the heart of the city.

Namsom creates a new series of painting from her ongoing concept about dream and reality. She has doubted that between “dream” and “reality” which one is greater? Because she finds that for several times a figment of imagination can surprisingly reflect more reality than what can be done by the reality itself. Therefore, underneath the soft willowy lines and the vastly secluded background, viewers may find poems intermingle with imaginations; emotions that are blended with desires. The artist muses upon her ideas of dream and reality, depicting them through the aesthetic beauty of her dreamy depiction.
