Teerapon Sisung exercises his expertise in the latest sculpture exhibition Divine Form. The artist applies techniques like knitting, coiling, tying, and fastening metallic fibers to form the shapes of ancient Thai traditional high-class ornaments such as crowns, headdresses, and royal robes. The delicate threads are weaved and curled to develop ethereal patterns on the semi-transparent and fragile shapes, interweaving the Buddhist teaching about mindful concentration in the present moment.
Teerapon Sisung earned bachelor and master’s degrees from the Faculty of Painting Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University. His unique style of creativity that involves complex thread knitting has won him several awards from national art competitions as well as participation in exhibitions.
