"Once again, I find myself waiting in front of an operating room. The person inside is my mother. It has been almost seven hours, and she has yet to emerge."
At Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, I ran after the gurney to reach my mother before she entered the operating room. I managed only to hold her hand, exchange a few words, and smile for a fleeting moment before she was wheeled away...
Such a deeply affecting experience brought everything else to a standstill, forcing me to confront the immediate reality of a loved one’s life.
This series of sculptures delves into the human inner landscape through parts of my mother’s and father’s bodies, reflecting the details of their lives from reverse perspectives. The empty spaces, traces, and hidden nooks reveal the true value and beauty of humanity, inviting us to pause and reflect.
My father’s back, my mother’s breasts, and their arms remain as vessels that continue to embrace and fulfill their purpose, regardless of how much time has passed."
