ARDEL Gallery of Modern Art
(Boromrachachonnanee Road)

"THAI:MEX:PRINTMAKING" is an exhibition showcasing monochrome prints created by two artists from different countries. One of the artists is Pongdej Chaiyakut, a renowned Thai printmaking artist who has been active in the art industry for a considerable time and was appointed the position of dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Chiang Mai University for over a decade. The other artist is Victor Manuel Hernandez Castillo, a Mexican artist and professor at the University of the Arts in Mexico City. Victor has been awarded the Grand Prize in several international printmaking competitions.

The black and white prints created by this duo depict the societal turmoil, class divide, and pain. Their friendship and shared attitude are evident in the graphic arts they produce, which demand a meticulous approach at every step of the work process. Such a bond is long-lasting and expressed beautifully through their art.
